EMS Workers Give Insight to ESL Hazmat Scare Saturday KSDK -- John Nowak, Medstar Ambulance operations manager, showed a software program on his laptop and pointed to a list of icons next to hospital names on his computer screen. "Normally, you see all these green 'opens,'" he said. After the Hazmat incident, Saturday, Nowak said he saw something on his computer he'd never seen before. "Pictures of hospitals not just going on 'divert,' but totally closing down; and after I saw the second one go on-line, then I knew something was going on," Nowak said. |
